Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information I Love Social (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our Pinterest downloader, and how we use it.
What We Collect
- The Pinterest URL you submit. When you paste a link, we process it to locate and retrieve the available media. We don’t retain a history of the URLs you’ve submitted tied to your identity.
- A hashed form of your IP address, briefly. To stop one visitor overwhelming the tool, each request is counted against a one-way hash of the IP it came from. The hash is kept for a matter of minutes, is not reversible, and is not linked to anything else.
- Standard web-server logs. Our host records the usual request data — address requested, time, browser string — as every web server does. We do not build profiles from it.
- Cookies: none. This site sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no tracker on any page, which is why you have not been asked to consent to any. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first and consent will be requested before anything is set.
What We Don’t Collect
We never ask for your Pinterest username or password, and we don’t require you to create an account to use the Service. We don’t access, read, or request your Pinterest login credentials under any circumstance.
How We Use This Information
- To operate the download tool and deliver the media you request.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (e.g., automated scraping, rate-limit violations).
- To diagnose faults when something stops working.
Third-Party Services
At the time of writing I Love Social uses no analytics provider, no advertising network and no third-party tracker. The only outside parties involved are our web host, which serves these pages and keeps the usual server logs, and Pinterest and YouTube themselves, which your browser contacts directly for the media you asked for. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and if an analytics or advertising provider is ever added, this page will name it and your consent will be asked for first.
File Handling and Retention
Media you download is fetched from Pinterest’s public servers at the time of your request. We don’t maintain a permanent library of downloaded files. Any temporary processing files are deleted shortly after your download completes (typically within a few hours), and are not accessible to other users.
Children’s Privacy
I Love Social is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the technical or usage data associated with you — such as requesting what’s held or asking for it to be deleted. Contact us at support@ilovesocial.net and we’ll address your request to the extent it applies to data we actually control.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
